Mindfulness-integrated CBT Online Program

Learning to have peace of mind

  • Are you feeling you’ve lost direction, questioning how you’re living?
  • Are you worrying more than usual about the future?
  • Are you noticing that you’re eating or drinking more than usual?
  • Are you feeling an overall drop in your mood?
  • Are you losing patience with your loved ones?
  • Are you finding that living 24/7 with your housemates/partner means that you aren’t taking “you time”?

In MiCBT we learn  to manage the wandering mind by understanding how the brain and body connections work. We learn different types of meditation practices which allow us to observe the workings of our mind and body, manage reactivity and gain some peace of mind.

And importantly we learn how to make changes to our behaviours inclluding those bad habits we may have had for a long time.

You will benefit from the structure of the program and find that you waste less time and energy in useless mind-wandering and worry. And you will probably find that your relationships benefit from your work too.

The program has been running for over twelve years and has a sound evidence base including our own research that demonstrates participants show significant and lasting reductions in anxiety, depression, stress and improvements in flourishing.

8-Week live online MiCBT Group Training

Next program - April 17th 2024 6-8pm

For the 8-week group program please read the descriptions below so that you understand what is involved and then click the button below. We will get back to you to confirm your registration. Sometimes individual work with MiCBT is more suitable to allow for appropriate pacing and to deal with particular individual issues.

Please note:
The program requires that you can commit to regular (ideally 2x daily) meditation practice sessions at home during the 8 weeks of the program – practicing the exercises is VITAL! as this is where the change happens – in your mind!! If you think about physical fitness training, you would not expect to get fit without showing up regularly at the gym and DOING the exercises! in the same way you can’t expect the mind to change without exercise!

About this practice

What is Mindfulness Integrated CBT (MiCBT)?

MiCBT aims to help people find new ways to deal with psychological issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, attention issues and pain management, anger management. It involves groups of about 10 people attending a two-hour session each week for 8 weeks. The program teaches skills in managing mind-wandering and emotions, awareness of thinking processes, body sensations and self-compassion.

Mindfulness meditation practices are central to the program.

Here is what people have said about the program:

"Apart from the occasional fleeting feeling of nervousness, which I think is expected during any exam, I was able to get through my exams without having my anxiety get in the way of all the hard work I have done over the year! ...and I would like to thank you again for teaching me how to do that. When comparing my mental state of mind and my body sensations now to when I had my last midyear exam, it's really like I'm a completely different person while coping under stress! I will definitely be keeping up with my body scan practices for a long time".

"I'd like to thank you again for this incredible program... The changes it has made in my life are immeasurable.....I never expected to experience a feeling of peace in my life... ever! Now that I have, it has really aided me to understand what is most important. From your program there are many, many things I am grateful to have experienced, and the affects have been lasting".
